The Magic Touch Blog Hop
Sometimes we say someone has a “magic touch” with something, and it’s a good thing. Occasionally it’s a bad thing. A “green thumb” is a magic touch with plants. I have more like a black thumb. And if I don’t kill them, my cats do!
Of course, King Midas had the ultimate “magic touch”. Everything he touched turned to gold. Absolutely everything. We all know how that worked out for him!
But I love reading stories about the possibility of magic intruding into contemporary life. Isn’t that the joy of urban fantasy and paranormal romance? The idea that somewhere out there in behind the mundane world of jobs and bills and the daily grind, there is still something magical to be found?
Of course, I still want my flying car, too!

People have made good comments. The healing touch would be great–so altruistic. I would like the teleporting travel touch…touch a place on a map and magically be there.

I would like to have the magic power of touch to heal people and relieve them of problems, concerns.. Let the world be at peace…
What magic touch would I like? That’s a tough question. There is so much sickness in the world, healing would nice. But with every power there comes greater responsibility. Would I control the power or would the power control me? How would it change me? Good or bad? So based on all these questions I think I would choose nothing. I like to keep the magic in the books that I read. I already have the magic of love, don’t need anything else. Keep writing so I can keep reading. This is an awesome blog hop! I’m a big fan of supernatural books especially romantic ones. I love magic and I love that you never know what people’s abilities are going to be. It leaves so much more open to guessing because the world that the author builds all of a sudden does NOT follow our world’s rules. I love when people can listen to thoughts or move things with their minds. I also think being able to control other’s emotions would be a handy gift. Probably my favorite books involving people with magic are ‘Beautiful Creatures’ and ‘Poison Study.’ It must be hard to be responsible for such power. I love when Lena from ‘Beautiful Creatures’ is trying to harness all she has. It’s something akin to the awkwardness we all go through in middle school in which we are trying to figure out who we are.

I have no idea. Really. Having any kind of power would come with some kind of price, and what if you couldn’t pay it? I think I would have to pick something that didn’t really make much of a difference, maybe a mood lifter/enhancer.

Hmm choosing just one. I supposed Id want one useful in this society. Technomancy, pretty much to have a magic touch with technology. I could use it to better the technology of today, track and punish those that have done ill to others, and of course make my phone let me put music on it 😐
