Something Wicked Returns

Welcome to the Something Wicked Returns Blog Hop, hosted by Rainy Day RamblingsCandace’s Book Blog, The Nocturnal Library and My Guilty Obsession!

macbeth by william shakespeareIt sends a chill up your spine, doesn’t it? That phrase, “Something wicked this way comes.” We all know the line, but forget where it comes from. It’s Shakespeare, he had all the best lines. This one is from Macbeth. Of course it was one of the three witches. Does it matter which one?

By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes.

And in walks Macbeth himself. Poor fool, he didn’t start out evil. BWAHAHAHA

Boo! I’m giving away a $10 gift card to Amazon or Barnes and Noble (winner’s choice).

  1. I always found the wind howling on a foggy night to be a bit spooky.
    Thanks for this giveaway! =)

  2. I entered your Something Wicked Returns Giveaway.
It would be great to win the $10 gift card to Amazon.
In response to your question of What do you find spooky?
I find the sound of the wind blowing through the trees at night spooky.
Thank you for having this giveaway!!!!!!!

  3. Michael Myers from Halloween. He has been haunting my dreams for 20+ years but I still can’t stop myself from watching that movie every year lol. Thank you!

  4. Ghosts!! Zombies dont spooked me they gave that tingling sensation (creeps)!! :)))) Thank you! ^_^

  5. I’ve been watching Lost on Netflix and The Others have scarred me forever. A couple days ago, I thought I heard whispering when I was sitting outside with my dog, and I about jumped out of my skin. (Turns out the sound on my phone was on really low)

  6. I’m very jumpy and don’t see well in the dark so pretty much anything will scary me if it’s dark out

  7. I find the real life baby dolls spooky. Especially before they are put together.

  8. I hate clowns. Hate them. And those stupid masks people buy depicting tragedy and comedy? Creepy. Remind me of clowns. I hate all those creepy masks with their empty, staring eyes. Makes me wonder what’s behind those eyes, staring, plotting. Very scary. Great giveaway.

  9. I always get spooked with wind storms and thunder, I know the lightening is the danger, but the thunder just scares me 🙂 Thank you for participating in this fun hop.

  10. I think being alone in the dark is spooky, at night when the wind is blowing through the trees, or being in a cemetery at night would definitely be spooky! Thanks so much for the chance to win this awesome giveaway! good luck everyone & Happy Reading! v-v

  11. Zombies. They just creep me out! Also, the possibility of hordes of bugs coming to eat us all.

  12. I HATE scary movies, HATE them!!! What’s funny about that is I LOVE scary books, the scarier the better!!

  13. Any book by Stephen King – and I love them all! Thanks for this amazing giveaway – I would love to win!

  14. I think it’s not so much the people and ghosts and such that’s spooky, it’s the suspense! Or things like, if you look in a mirror and there’s a face and then you look behind you and there’s nothing there. *shudders*

  15. Something terrifying that could happen in real life…like a killer braking into your home or something along those lines.

  16. The Weeping Angels from Doctor Who!!! *shivers* scary. very scary 😀
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I think it’s very spooky when you’re alone in the dark and it’s very quiet. Every little noise has me jumping! Thank you for joining the hop!!

  19. i am scared of walking in any type of woods or forest at night….thanks for the giveaway

  20. I should not have read all the other comments. I’m so creeped out right now!
In movies, I find things with little children creepy – as soon as one shows up in a slightly darker movie or show I know it’s a oneway ticket to creepytown for me.
In real life, not so much, unless they look like the children of the corn and stare at me quietly…

Real life scary things: hearing a noise in the house that I can’t account for (I live alone), walking through dark forests and this circus museum close to my place that has vacant clown masks staring out at you.

  21. I find real-life hauntings the spookiest – like the movie The Conjuring, and Annabelle the Doll. They scare the crap out of me but I can’t STOP reading or watching!

  22. I’m a big fan of zombies – I don’t really find them spooky, since I’m not easily scared (other people scare me more than the supernatural), but I’m intrigued by them!

  23. I’m creeped out by my mom and dad’s neighborhood. There are huge old trees that block out the moonlight and no streetlights. It’s dark and the squirrels throw acorns at you so you think someone is walking behind you!!

  24. What I would consider spooky would be an abandoned cabin in the deep dark woods, lol. Thanks for the giveaway

  25. I think an empty, silent house on a stormy night is by far the spookiest thing to me because it holds so many possibilities for something to go wrong.

  26. Someone said bats… yeah when you see a bat flying silently on a windy dark night I guess that’s kinda creepy. Waking up in the night and hearing strange noises… that gets the heart racing a bit too. 🙂

  27. I find so many things creepy. The dark, spiders, ghosts, that horrible jeepers creepers guy…ect.
