In My Mailbox #4

In My Mailbox is a weekly feature, started by The Story Siren, as a way to give a shout-out to the books we received the previous week.

From the author:
The Key by Pauline Baird Jones (ebook)
Geared for Pleasure by Rachel Grace (print) I won this in a drawing at The Smutketeers.

From the author or publicist for review for Book Lovers Inc.:
The Cinderella Blues by Obren Bokich (ebook)
Blind Traveler Down a Dark River and Blind Traveler’s Blues by Robert P. Bennett (ebook)
On One Condition by Diane Alberts (ebook)

From Samhain Publishing:
The Lawman’s Surrender by Debra Mullins (ebook)

From Angry Robot Books as a member of the Robot Army:
Suited by Jo Anderton (ebook)
vN by Madeline Ashby (ebook)

From NetGalley:
Amped by Daniel H. Wilson (ebook)
The Unholy by Heather Graham (ebook)

And I received the second box of books and ARCs I sent myself from PLA, so I opened the boxes. Here’s the picture of my PLA haul. Pictures, plural. There were too many for one picture to do them justice.

    1. PLA stands for Public Library Association. Their biennial conference was in mid-March, this time round in Philadelphia. The next go-around for PLA is in 2014 in Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, the American Library Association Annual Conference is in less than two months (June) in Anaheim CA.

    1. A veritable embarrassment of riches with the opening of the PLA boxes! I’ve let the cats play with the stuffing from the PLA boxes. They’ve had an awful lot of fun.

  1. Wow! That is a haul! I might have to do a blog post about my TBR, both virtual and physical (though my mine tilts virtual these days!), but mostly would like a week to just read and nothing else. I wish I had a time turner like Hermione and I could get all my work done and read. (grin)

    1. There are places that do actual reading vacations. I want one too. But Hermione and the time-turner, remember she just about had a breakdown by the end?

  2. You are going to be busy. I saw The Yard in your haul. I have tried for it at several places. It was on Amazon Vine but already out of copies by the time I opened my newsletter. I tried on Edelweiss but have not heard back. Guess I will have to wait on the library to get it. I got Suited from Angry Robot and it is on my Nook waiting to be read. I read the first on and want to see where the series will go now.

    1. I read the first book for Suited, Debris, too. It was awesome. Awesome!
The Yard was one I was waiting for, and it was just lying there on the floor at PLA, in a stack with a zillion other copies. Maybe they have some left?

    1. Me too. That’s why I tried so many times to win a copy. You should see it in person. Let’s just say that gun he’s holding probably isn’t compensating for anything.
