The Sunday Post AKA What’s on my (Mostly Virtual) Nightstand 10-11-15

Sunday Post

Trial and error is always a fun way to figure something out. Yesterday I figured out that there’s a sweet spot in the “Create Gallery” function of WordPress. It’s 13 pictures. 12 and 14 look really lousy. Maybe it likes prime numbers?

No winner announcements today but plenty of giveaways still going on. Lots of gift cards, and even a Christmas book. It feels early for Holiday books, but that does mean that the winner will have plenty of time to read it before the season is over. Once upon a time, it used to be a big deal when department stores unveiled their Christmas displays on the day after Thanksgiving. Now it feels like they start the minute that “Back to School” sales are done. One month of Christmas carols was OK, but three months (or more!) drives me mental. How about you?

  1. You got soem great giveaways going on, will stop by thsoe next! I always like those gift card giveaways as then I can decide which books to buy myself. Here in the Netherlands we always celebrate Sinterklaas before christmas, which means they start in september with the sinterklaas displays and only in december with christmas displays usually. I don’t mind seeing the sinterklaas displays early as I love the sineterklaas candies, so I make sure to stock up on candy those few months. I hope you’ll have a great week!
