The Sunday Post AKA What’s on my (Mostly Virtual) Nightstand 6-25-17

Sunday Post

Welcome to the ALA Edition of the Sunday Post. As you read this, I’m in Chicago at the American Library Association Annual Convention, looking at oodles of forthcoming books and walking my feet off. ALA is pretty much like BEA for librarians. There are also a lot of meetings. And a lot of running around. The Exhibits Hall, where all the books are, is usually miles and miles of carpet over concrete. At the end, there is no thrill of victory, there is only the agony of the feet. Along with the chance to see 15,000 or 20,000 of my nearest and dearest friends.

And we have Hamilton tickets for the night before the conference begins! It’s not coming to Atlanta until NEXT May. But since we were planning to be where it already was, it was impossible to resist!
