Wish Big Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Wish Big Giveaway Hop, hosted by Mama the Fox!

There’s an old saying about wishes – honestly there are probably LOTS of old sayings about wishes – that goes, “If wishes were horses then beggars would ride.” At least that’s the version I remember.

We make wishes in all kinds of situations, blowing out birthday candles, seeing the first star at night, seeing a falling star, throwing a coin in a well. It’s a bit of superstition, but it’s generally a harmless one.

The results of a wish all depend on what you do after you make it, doesn’t it? Some wishes are close to impossible to fulfill. Others can be helped along, if we’re willing to do the work to turn the impossible into the possible. There’s another saying about this very thing, this one attributed to Mary Kay Ash, “If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.”

If you wish for a chance at the winner’s prize here at Reading Reality, all you have to do is fill out the rafflecopter for your chance! This one is easy-peasy!

  1. I’d be wishing to be fully healthy. I’ve been in and out of treatment since before Christmas and it’s getting really old. Thanks for the nice prize.

  2. What I would wish for? I wish people would see beyond the end of their noses and have the same respect for others that they demand for themselves.

  3. Is wishing on a star like making a wish when you blow out birthday candles? If you tell what you wished, it won’t come true?

  4. If I were wishing on a star, I’d wish our neighbors liked us more or were nicer. Its hard living near people who try to cause problems for you.

  5. I would be wishing for the same as a lot of people: for COVID to disappear forever!

Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  6. Fair wages for all! That would solve various world problems. We can’t keep going like how we were, covid, has shown that. Certain groups have gotten hit much harder than others.

  7. I would wish for my son to receive the college news he is hoping for and that he will be able to have an in-person college experience when he starts in the fall.
