The Sunday Post AKA What’s on my (Mostly Virtual) Nightstand 7-10-22

I made the mistake of adding up how many pages I am intending to read this week – and then I went GACK! and wondered how I was going to make it happen. Something I am STILL very much wondering about – so we’ll certainly see, won’t we?

Speaking of things to see, here’s a picture of Hecate in profile. I would say she’s showing off her good side, but I don’t think she has a bad side – although her sides are different thanks to being a tortie. She’s a very pretty girl even if she doesn’t always know it!

    1. There is a long and storied history of Stacking the Shelves and where it started. I’m just the latest in a line of stewards, but it’s a role I’m very happy to fill. You have hit the nail on the head in what I’m trying to do here with the reviews, to give a reader an idea whether the book is for them or not. If you’re curious about a review where it was very much NOT, take a look at my reviews of The Right Bride (https://www.readingreality.net/2013/05/review-the-right-bride-by-jennifer-ryan/) or The Bourbon Kings (https://thebookpushers.com/2015/07/28/dnf-review-the-bourbon-kings-by-j-r-ward/)

  1. Hi there Marlene!

I hate to do page counts, it’s way too much pressure! I actually normally use the percentage setting on my Kindle and not the page count.

But if you have such great books to read, the page count doesn’t really matter!

Have a good week and happy reading!

  2. So glad you’re feeling better. And laptime with Hecate must be some much-needed balm for the soul.
