Stacking the Shelves (509)

This batch looks more interesting than it does pretty, but that happens some weeks. I’ve already listened to the Star Trek: Picard audio because I really needed to go to my happy place this week. I’m planning to read To Each This World for a Library Journal review. Silver Under Nightfall looks fascinating, so that may move up the towering TBR pile in the near future.

Tho’ I still need a bigger “Round Tuit”, don’t I?

  1. Another huge haul this week! I see lots of variety here and many beautiful covers, but the book that has piqued my interest is Sophie Go’s Lonely Hearts Club. Happy reading and have a wonderful week!

  2. So many interesting titles – took myself off to NetGalley to see if I could snag a couple but they’re all closed or past publication – so did you just get these? Do you have a source other than NetGalley? Regardless, it’s a great collection – Witch in the Well and The Marriage Portrait are of particular interest so will be watching for them.

    1. I get more stuff from Edelweiss than I do Netgalley, and they do have some publishers where the book stays open for the month of publication and not just until the day of.
BUUUUT, I also have a couple of secrets. My stacks are huge, but I cap them at 20 and move any books more than 20 to the next week. I’m currently running three weeks ahead. Also, I request many as part of the “Overachievers’ Book Club”, which is actually an American Library Association committee that judges books in particular categories. The publishers do know which books we’re looking at and will either hold the widget open for us or re-open it for us so we can all get copies.
