Is it just my imagination, or did May simply FLY by? Honestly, it feels like this whole year so far has zipped past – even though this past week was a gloomy, rainy UGH that seemed to go on forEVER. Until it ended and so did May and now here we are. Summer is HERE and it just feels like it’s too soon. Or something like that. What about you?
Today’s cat picture is of Luna, looking like she’s stuck in durance vile in some fashion. She’s not, that’s just the stairs. However, she probably thinks she is, or at least she did Friday night. Luna fits under the couch. We don’t know how, exactly, as there doesn’t appear to be enough clearance, but she likes to hide under there. She hid all evening, to the point that we were both worried about her when she didn’t magically appear on my lap for her nightly cuddles while I read and she tries to get in the way of my iPad. As they do.
Of course, when she finally did come out it was bedtime and she followed us up, pouting and squeaking all the way, because she didn’t get her due of lap time and she was peeved at us – specifically me since it’s my job to be her nightly ‘security human’ and mattress. It’s Saturday afternoon as I type this and she’s still pouting.
This week’s schedule is a bit TBD, even if it looks like I have a plan. The Moms Rock Giveaway Hop ends Saturday night at midnight, so if I’ve gone to bed I’ll fill in the winner in the morning. (And I did.) As far as this week’s books, both The Devils and Wooing the Witch Queen are books that I started in audio but am definitely finishing in text for entirely different reasons. The problem – a good kind of problem – is that The Devils is a bit of a doorstop even in text. I’m enjoying the hell out of it, but it’s a lot and something may have to give. I hope not but we’ll certainly see in the week ahead!
