Today is actually the first day of school – or at least it is here in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Which just seems ridiculously early. Also weird that school is starting on a Friday.
Then again, I went to school in the dark ages before the schools in Cincinnati were air conditioned, so we started just after Labor Day and that still seems right even if it’s now wrong.
This hop happens every year, and I’ve never been able to decide whether that daily apple is meant to be “an apple for the teacher” or “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Whichever it might be it’s still very much SUMMER around here but school starts today regardless!

We still need to go do some shopping before she goes back to school officially. But my daughter is kinda already back, she has been at band/Color Guard practice every day since July7 so we are pretty much on school schedule already
We’ve got a week and half before school starts. You could say we’re ready to go back, but also want more summer. I think we’re ready for more regular routine.

My kids are being homeschooled this year and wanted to start already so they started this week.
No back to school yet for us as she is only 2 and not in school yet.

I don’t have children, but I certainly want more summer. I’m not ready for the cold weather just yet.
My oldest grandson will be a Junior this year and he is excited to get back to school. My youngest grandson will be in 6th grade and he is not thrilled.
