Today is Father’s Day in the U.S. and many other countries around the world. A LOT of countries around the world celebrate Father’s Day, but they don’t all celebrate it the same time we do, although Canada and Mexico both do.
None of the members of our current clowder of cats have been dadcats – or for that matter momcats – as far as we know. We adopted both Hecate and George so early in their lives that we’re sure they never had the opportunity, but Luna and Tuna were both a year old when they came to us so it’s theoretically possible. But their previous human was the responsible sort, so I highly doubt it.
Nevertheless, it seemed a bit more apropos for this day for it to be Tuna’s feature instead of one of the others. Unfortunately for Tuna, his pose in this picture does not show him at his best. He looks like a complete doofus. But an adorable one!
