There are a couple of actually pretty covers in this stack. I’m looking at Children of the Wild, Dead New World, and A Fellowship of Academics & Arts and those all hit my “pretty” button in their own pretty different ways. In contrast, there’s only one creepy cover, and that’s Tillinghast. I can’t make the body parts in that cover make sense, and I’m probably better off if I don’t!
The book I’m really curious about is The First Ladies’ Guide to Murder. It wouldn’t work NOW, of course. I’m not sure it’s going to work THEN, either, but I’m curious enough to find out! The other book that is making my curiosity bump itch is The Monster Hunter’s Librarian because the idea sounds like fun. Dangerous fun, perhaps, but fun.
There are a surprising number of books in this stack that I’ve been looking forward to for quite a while, particularly A Serving of Hope and A Warning to the Curious. Witches of Questionable Intent would be on this particular list too, but it’s the one I’ve already read.
