This Sunday there’s nothing missing in the post, and I won’t have to play a fill-in-the-blanks game when I wake up. After all, the whole point of Sundays it to not need to rush around to get ready first thing in the morning. Or at least it is at Chez Reading Reality! It also marks the end of a truly excellent reading week. A Trade of Blood, The Silver Hand and Preaching to the Choir were all absolutely terrific, but not terrific in the same way. And that’s just a part of what made all of them such great reads!
I have high hopes for this week’s The Tailor, but I feel safe in my expectation that it’s going to be fantastic because every single book in the DS Cross series has been marvelous. I’m just a bit sad that I’m going to have to wait until June for the next book in the series!
The slide from summer to fall is rather aptly demonstrated among the current giveaways, as the Summer Seasons of Books Hop still has a month to go, but the Fall Giveaway Event has already started. Time flies when you’re having fun. Or perhaps the old Groucho Marx version is more apt, “Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.” Both true!
Today’s cat picture is the Lovely Miss Luna, in a pose that looks like she froze midway between turning into a catloaf and making her patented pouty face. Either way, she’s adorable. And she KNOWS it!
