Welcome to the Fall 2026 Seasons of Books Giveaway Hop, hosted by It Starts At Midnight and Versatileer!
Once upon a time, this was the Month of Books Giveaway Hop, now it’s the Seasons of Books Giveaway Hop, with the hops starting on the days the seasons change. Today, September 22, – technically tonight at 8:05 p.m. – marks the official beginning of FALL for the 2026 season.
Not that it actually FEELS like Fall here in Atlanta. Summer has lingered forever this year, with temps still in the mid-80s if not higher. We’re supposed to get a bit of a break later this week and then they’ll go right back up there. Still Fall IS coming, even if the trees haven’t heard a whisper of the word yet.
This hop has always been terrific, whatever season it occurs. But that doesn’t mean that the hop image has matched my particular reading tastes in quite some time. Which is just fine. There’s a book for every reader and a reader for every book and they’re not either one the same all the time.
So here are the books I’m looking forward to the most this fall of 2026:
A Fellowship of Academics and Arts by J. Penner
Line of Descent by Adam Oyebanji
The Magician’s Misadventure by Jeri Westerson
A Many Splintered Thing by Mercedes Lackey
Miss Wolcott’s Ghost by Louise Penny
Monsters of Ohio by John Scalzi
Premier by L.E. Modesitt, Jr.
Prudence Marsh Is Not a Nobody Anymore by Emily Krempholtz
Saved by the Spell by Tanya Huff
A Serving of Hope by Hisashi Kashiwai
The Thrice Bound Fool by Christopher Buehlman
A Warning to the Curious by John Shen Yen Nee and SJ Rozan
Witches of Questionable Intent by Jenn Mckinlay
For more fall bookish prizes, be sure to visit the other stops on this hop!
Threshing Day.
A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna sounds like a spooky read for the fall season.
