The Sunday Post AKA What’s on my (Mostly Virtual) Nightstand 5-8-22

First of all, Happy Mother’s Day! (No the cats didn’t get me anything for Mother’s Day – not unless you count George destroying the empty book boxes and packing paper last night. He clearly had a great time. The humans, cleaning up after him the next morning, not so much.

And since no Sunday Post is complete without a picture of at least one of my fur children – and because George is as photogenic as he is destructive – here’s George, looking out the back window, watching over what I’m sure he believes is HIS little patch of forest.

This week was a great week for books. They were all excellent which is always wonderful. I have to confess that as much as I was on the edge of my seat reading Woman on Fire, I had an absolutely terrible time writing it up. There’s so much there, and it was so fascinating, but I struggled to get it into words. So a great book, but not one of my best reviews. Books were good, but long week was long.

  1. I’ll take your word that Woman on Fire was good! It happens to me as well, I’ll read a really good book and then my review comes out mewh. The opposite has also happened though! Read a book I didn’t like all that much, but then the review is really good! LOL!!

    Have a good week ahead!
