Wicked Romances Blog Hop

Wicked Romances Giveaway Hop was organized by Reading Romances!

When it comes to romance, what’s the difference between wicked and naughty?

When I say the words “wicked romance”, what vision does that conjure up? Does wicked automatically mean paranormal, or does it just define romances with bad boys doing, let’s say, “wicked things” to girls who are about to be “formerly” good? Or oh so very definitely vice absolutely versa?

But if there’s not something special to make them “wicked”, then what’s the difference between “wicked” and “naughty”? Is it the type of hero or heroine (vampire, demon, werewolf, etc.) or what the twosome, threesome, or moresome do together that makes things wicked?

Or is it something else?

  1. thanks for the fun giveaway hop! The other ladies have expressed it perfectly… naughty is bending/skirting the rules maybe unintentionally but wicked is deliberately breaking the rules.

  2. Hmm..I would say wicked is doing something you know is bad and you keep doing it…naughty I think of is someone good doing something not so good just for a short period. I’d definitely take the wicked over the naughty 🙂 Thanks for the contest.

  3. Being “naughty” is simply stretching boundaries (or making suggestions in a public place when you know you won’t be able to follow through right then)
Being “wicked” is doing or saying things you shouldn’t and breaking boundaries rather than just stretching.
    I guess – lol

  4. Naughty has a total lack of guile, almost innocent. Wicked is totally premeditated!

  5. At worst you get scolded for being naughty; wicked gets you chased with torches and pitchforks.

  6. Wicked is more bad than naughty. Naughty is more fun and playful. Wicked means serious business.

  7. Wicked and Naughty, there is a very fine line between the two. Naughty is disobedient, rule breaking….Wicked is wrong morally. (Dictionary definitions) Naughty is the tamer of the two! But both are so much fun to read!

  8. Good question!
Naughty is just enough to make you blush and gigle.
Wicked being beat red and sighing!

  9. I think naughty is still a fun and innocent way of pushing the boundaries whereas wicked is not

  10. Naughty is bending/stretching the rules and Wicked is breaking them with enjoyment.

Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win.

  11. When I first saw the title of this giveaway I thought of “wicked” as in wicked witch, etc….something along the paranormal lines.

But if it’s not that kind of wicked then I see the difference between wicked and naughty and wicked being purposefully mean and maybe evil. 😉

  13. Naughty is just sort of being ornery for the fun of it (teasing) Wicked is just darker and going farther than a tease.

  14. Pushing the edge……never settling for bland……..going where few others would…when the eye’s naughty sparkle becomes overt action…..this is wicked.
Wicked ones dare, shove, insist, and crave…..whether they’re a bit afraid or not.
It is the ultimate in flying without a net.

  15. Naughty for me is a little more tame of the bad thing you’re doing. Wicked would be REALLY bad and maybe with friends.

  16. english not being my native language i didn’t know the subtle difference between the two terms before reading the others comments^^;;, i got it now wicked is worse than naughty

  17. Naughty sounds like Someone who wants to do bad things to you… Wicked just sounds like there is something a little more going on then what you would get with naughty.

  18. Hmm…wicked vs. naughty. One has chains and whips and the other has whipped cream and chocolate sauce…lol. I’ll let you figure out which one is which. 🙂

  19. Naughty is a nice way for people to say your on your way to being wicked 🙂

thanks for the bloggin fun 🙂

  20. I have to agree with previous posters in my opinion Naughty is bending the rules; wicked is breaking them.Thank you for this chance to win.Have an amazing weeken

  21. Naughty is when you’re willing to do something because you feel comfortable doing it, and wicked is when you just want to play but bad.

  22. Naughty is fun, ornery, a game. Wicked is down right serious.

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  23. Naughty is something that makes you blush and say “oh my.” Wicked is something that makes your jaw drop.

    kesummer69(at)gmail(dot)com

  24. Naughty is bending the rules a little. Wicked is going all the way for someone who wants to be a bad girl.

  25. I don’t see a difference. Mischief comes to mind when I see both words.

  26. To me, wicked is darker while naughty has a more playful tone.

    Thanks for having the giveaway!

  27. Naughty is something shared between lovers. Wicked can include other people outside a relationship and it’s always fun!

  28. naughty is doing ‘something’ ‘bad’ for a short amount of time. And Wicked is being bad, rule breaking and dangerous for…like…forever.

  29. Wicked to me conjures up images of for instance, the Wicked Witch of the West, who are just evil to the soul and choose to cause others harm. This is something that is just inside of certain people. Well where naughty, anyone can have a night or two of naughty fun. Naughty seems more like something you do than what you are. I hope this makes sense! 🙂
Thanks for being a part of this blog hop!

  30. “Naughty” would be bending or going around the rules or what is usually accepted
“Wicked” is breaking the rules and not caring 😉

  31. Wicked is a state of mind. When you decide that you no longer care about what is good or bad and you just do what you want no matter the consequences or no matter the pain you are causing others then you have become wicked.

  32. hmmmmm when I think of wicked I think of a dark edgy side and naughty I think of as sexy but both are sexy and can go together!

    my1lulabug at yahoo dot com

  33. Excited for another bloghop! Thanks for the giveaway!!
I think one can’t go without the other. Wicked and naughty is two halves of a whole.
When both is apparent in a man, he’s a sexy man.
    kp_kazamei(at)yahoo(dot)com

  34. Hmm~ for me wicked is when you know and pride yourself on being extremely good at being bad~ Naughty is more getting a thrill out of sometimes being bad when it’s not your norm~

Thank you for the lovely hop!

  35. I think they are alot alike wicked is just more Naughty 🙂
Thank you for the great giveaway!

  36. Wicked is more evil and naughty is just something your parents wouldn’t approve of.

  37. To me, the difference between naughty and wicked to me is definitely the darker elements, such as paranormals, “bad boys”, and such. To me, alpha males are usually more on the wicked side than the naughty side. 😉
Wicked has more of a tortuous feel to it.

  38. Naughty is something that a little bit on the wild side then just plain regular vanilla stuff while Wicked is full blown edgy and so off mainstream that people would think it is shocked but titillated.

    Thanks for the giveaway!
