Stacking the Shelves

One of these days I have to do a test run of the grid and discover which numbers work well, which are OK, and which ones are really, really fugly. When I have huge lists, I often find myself shuffling a few off to the next week, just to keep the grid from being weird. It may be just me but the lines with two covers or worse, only one, make the whole thing look “off” to me.

This was a week where I ended up buying things because I couldn’t get into anything I originally planned on. Or, in the case of Skin Deep where book 1 was so marvelous I couldn’t wait for book 2. I don’t actually have a queue for my audiobooks yet, so I didn’t have oodles to choose from. Legion turned out to be so good that I couldn’t resist getting the next one. I’m already into it enough that I’m regretting that book 3 doesn’t exist. Yet, I hope.

  1. WOW – A lot of books! And I sadly haven’t heard anything about them. Will be interesting to see your reviews!

  2. Nice! The Librarians and the Lost Lamp was a ton of fun (Cox nailed the characters and the tone perfectly), and I landed an ARC of The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to it.

  3. I have Bare it All by Lori Foster, but am currently hooked on PR-reading No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon, just finished and loved my first Gena Showalter-The Darkest Kiss-sooo hooked on this series!! Just picked up Dark Ghost by Christine Feehan, also read my first Kim Harrison book, Dead Witch Walking-loved it, and am also reading historical romances also!! Have just read Good Earl Gone Bad by Manda Collins. Great week for books!!
