Honey Bunny Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Honey Bunny Giveaway Hop, hosted by Mama the Fox!

I’m trying to figure out how a bunny made of honey would actually work – and it’s not working for me. This gold bunny is the closest I could get to a honey bunny – but it’s more like a honey-colored bunny with chocolate inside. Mr. Dark Chocolate Bunny here is adorable, especially with his mini-me. Although their ears aren’t nearly big enough. After all, the ears are the best part!

A survey at Taste of Home for last year’s Easter proclaimed that the Lindt chocolate bunny was the best of the chocolate bunnies they tested, although they confessed that the bow might have influenced their decision just a teensy bit.

If I were in the market for a chocolate bunny, I’d certainly give this one a try – even if it is a bit lacking in the ear department. My preference would be the dark chocolate shown above, but Mr. Gold Bunny does also come in Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate.

What’s your preference in chocolate bunnies? Or just chocolate in general? Answer through the rafflecopter for you chance at winning the usual Reading Reality hop prize of the winner’s choice of a $10 Amazon Gift Card or $10 in books.

There’s nothing better than your first bite into a hollow chocolate bunny’s ear – at least according to an article I found about “The Most Popular Easter Candy, Ranked Worst to Best”. And I’ll admit I’m more than inclined to agree that those hollow bunny ears are yummy – even though I acquired my lifelong preference for dark chocolate at a relatively young age. But pure chocolate is just plain hard-to-beat, and the first crunch of those hollow ears was always divine.

OTOH, plenty of people adore Peeps as a candy rather than a crafting tool. I knew someone who thought that Peeps tasted best after they’d been sitting out and desiccating for several days. To each their own, as they say. (The thought of those dried out Peeps STILL makes me cringe a bit)

What about you? What’s your favorite Easter candy? Answer in the rafflecopter for your chance at Reading Reality’s usual prize, the winner’s choice of a $10 Amazon Gift Card (perfect for getting more Easter Candy!) or $10 in Books.

Honey Bunny Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Honey Bunny Giveaway Hop, hosted by Mama the Fox!

Since this is the Honey Bunny Hop, let’s talk about bunnies! Specifically, let’s talk about CHOCOLATE bunnies. And chomping down on them for Easter. Or just because you like chocolate, shaped like a bunny or not.

Where does one begin to eat a Chocolate Rabbit?

It’s been studied. Of course it’s been studied. Because, well, humans. The study was not exactly serious, but it was published in an otherwise respected publication. (If you’re curious, it’s titled “Seasonality of auricular amputations in rabbits“, published in a professional journal for Otolaryngologists (that’s what ENTs, ear, nose and throat doctors are officially called). That journal is The Laryngoscope.

So the article is real – or real-ish – but the study wasn’t exactly on the up and up. Rather more on the tongue in cheek.

It’s been a while since I had a chocolate bunny, but I know I went for the ears first. Most people do. What about you? Answer in the rafflecopter for a chance at your choice of the usual prize, a $10 Amazon Gift Card or $10 in books from the Book Depository. This giveaway is open everywhere the Book Depository ships.

Hey, if you win the gift card, you could even get some chocolate bunnies and test it out yourself!
