jeepersjanuaryhop

Welcome to the Jeepers! It’s January Giveaway Hop, hosted by The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It.

Why? Because jeepers, it is January. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be writing 2015 instead of 2016 for at least a month.

It’s also a great time for this book blog to give away some bookish prizes. Long winter nights are a great time to curl up with a good book!

So, I’ll be giving away the winner’s choice of either a $10 Amazon Gift Card or a $10 Book from the Book Depository. For those who either want a book or are international visitors who don’t have a good way of using an Amazon Gift Card, the requirement is that you need an address where Book Depository ships.

  18. Jeez, it’s hard to choose a favorite book! It’s like choosing your favorite child! I mostly like Paranormal Romance though! 🙂

  19. This may be strange, but my comfort reads are Stephen King novels. I grew up reading them (my father was a big King fan) and when I read them now it takes me back to those days. Reading them makes me feel closer to my dad and closer to where I came from. I love horror/thriller novels now!

  20. I like mysteries but I like them without all of the blood and gory details. I tend to just skim past those details.

  21. Most of what I read makes me cry, I don’t know if much of what I read is comforting. I guess when that’s the angle I go it would be a cozy mystery.

  26. Any of the Harry Potter books take me to a whole different world, they’re my escape!

  27. My favorite comfort read genre is the supernatural “mystery” type (not sure how else to describe) like Jim Butcher with great story, good amount of action and wonderful one-liners that make me laugh out loud.

  28. Hmmm….I will go with anything inspirational by Louise Hay or Wayne Dyer as my fave inspirational reads.
