The pumpkin in the hop image doesn’t exactly live up to the theme, now does it? Which makes me feel duty-bound to provide at least ONE silly pumpkin image to make up for the poor thing’s…deficiencies.

Of course this is the image that grabbed my attention. Because cats. Not that our cats can’t be silly, and not that some of them are not, well, rather round like a pumpkin, but George is the only one that’s pumpkin-color, and he’s the most serious cat of them all! This pumpkin cat and its accompanying – and slightly worried looking – pumpkin mouse will just have to do!

Speaking of doing, what flavor do you think best gives you the sense that fall is in the air – as well as on the grocery shelves? For me, it’s apple cider. I don’t mind pumpkin pie, but it’s not the one I’ll pick if there are other options. Pumpkin spice in general isn’t bad, but the hype about it is overdone, IMHO.

I think he’s silly because he has FEETS. He’s adorable, but pumpkins can’t walk. Still, FEETS. (On a cat, they are feets and not feet, at least according to The Highly Scientific Anatomy of a Cat – and I’m sticking to that interpretation!
