Seas the Day Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Seas the Day Giveaway Hop, hosted by MamatheFox!

One can take the name of this blog hop as a play on the Latin phrase carpe diem, meaning seize the day. Or one could translate “seas the day” into Latin, making it maria diem and not a sentence at all. And of course I’m being just a bit silly.

I took four years of Latin in high school – occasionally I have to trot it out just for giggles.

But it’s summer, meaning that there are plenty of long, hot days to seize – just perfect for melting into a good book. Also just plain melting.

About that good book, as my part of this blog hop I’m giving away the winner’s choice of a $10 Amazon Gift Card or a $10 Book from the Book Depository. This prize is open to anywhere that the Book Depository ships, which is a lot of ships, boats, planes, and almost but not quite everywhere.

  1. My dream cruise destination isn’t so much a place as it is sailing with the Disney Cruise Line. Any of their itineraries would be work for me.

  2. My ideal destination would be the Norwegian Fjords; my aunt went there once and said it was a stunning place!

  3. I’d love to go on the around the world cruise, to see each continent, especially the South Pacific. Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. I would love to do a Caribbean cruise at some point. Or an Alaskan cruise. I have heard great things about both.

  5. I would love to do an Australia and New Zealand cruise. I have been to Hawaii and Europe, which were amazing!

  6. I would love to go on a cruise to Paris. I can’t speak the language, but the scenery looks really amazing.

  7. Cruising isn’t my vacation choice, but if I were to go anywhere, I’d do a Mediterranean cruise – maybe Greece?

  8. I’d love to take a cruise to the Bahamas. Heck, going on a cruise anywhere would be nice. Never been on one. Thanks.

  9. I’VE NEVER considered a cruise so I’m not sure what you do on them… do you get a whole lot of time at the places you go to? I find that a week exploring isnt nearly enough time. I think I’d go anywhere that is more exotic then where I am now

  10. I’d like to take one of those European cruises where you get 2-3 days in each city and see most of Europe via the rivers.

  11. I would like to do a river cruise, preferably in Europe, but they have some nice possibilities in the US as well.
